Research Round-ups take place Monday through Wednesday. Choose from the following types of presentations:

  • Case Studies and Scientific Research presentations at AIHce are 30 minutes in length and have a single presenter. If selected, your presentation will be paired with two separate presentations, from other presenters, addressing a similar general topic, to create a single 60-minute session, called Research Round-up.
    • Scientific Research (30-minute) – These presentations focus on the generation of new knowledge and understanding of basic mechanisms of a physical, chemical, or biological agent. Abstracts and presentations based on this type of research must have a research objective, detailed methods, results, and data-driven conclusions. Scientific research may be conducted in the laboratory, on a sample of study subjects, or in a sample of facilities or situations. Scientific research may also include data review and analysis. The deadline for Scientific Research is September 15, 2021.
    • Case Study (30-minute) – A case study will focus on a problem-solving approach in a specific situation. These presentations should describe applications of knowledge to real-world problems or an actual situation that was investigated or tested. Instructional type abstracts, e.g., describing a new methodology or equipment, should be submitted under this format. Abstracts and presentations based on professional practice must clearly present the situation or problem at issue, the resolution for fixing the problem as well as the results and lessons learned. The deadline for Case Studies is September 15, 2021.

Education Sessions (60-minutes) take place Monday through Wednesday – These are sessions addressing topics within OEHS and are delivered in any format from the traditional lecture to interactive problem solving, and more. We encourage sessions that involve the participants and create an engaging educational experience. Education Sessions can involve a single presenter or up to a maximum of three presenters. The deadline for Education Sessions is September 15, 2021.

Student Poster – Students are highly encouraged to submit poster proposals. Displaying a poster at a major conference like AIHce EXP is a fantastic way to gain visibility for your research. The interactions you have during a poster session can help you make connections with professionals in the field and gain recognition for your education institution. AIHA will seek student poster submissions under a separate review timeline that reflects university schedules. The deadline for Student Posters is March 17, 2022.

Student Presentation – These presentations offer students the opportunity to present their research as part of the Academic Track. Each session within the track is one hour long, with a maximum of three presenters (20 minutes each). This research should not be duplicative of a student poster that will be presented at the conference. The deadline for Student Presentations is March 17, 2022
