Help Select the AIHce EXP 2022 Education Program!
A technical reviewer serves as the subject matter expert and reviews submissions to ensure that submittals are scientifically sound, innovative, and relevant to the profession. The technical review process occurs prior to the Continuing Education Committee and Conference Program Committee reviews and will assist the committees in selecting the final content that will comprise the 2022 education program. The review process is blind, and no submitter information will be shared.
The review will be completed entirely online and will be open September 20 to October 4, 2021. The time commitment, per proposal, is approximately 15-20 minutes, and will vary, depending on the number of submissions received in your topic area. Most topics will have a handful proposals (5-10), while more popular topics, like Risk Assessment, could have many more reviews to complete (50-100). Unfortunately, we cannot provide you the exact number of proposals you will review until the submission deadline has passed. If you would like to volunteer, please plan your schedule accordingly, with time set aside for review during the entire review period of September 20 to October 4, 2021.
We ask each volunteer group to email to AIHA the names of four (4) reviewers and two (2) alternates by Wednesday, August 11. Specifically, we need a minimum of two (2) reviewers for PDCs and two (2) for the education program and an alternate for each in any given topic area. This is the minimum number needed, but more can volunteer to review, if desired. We do not have a maximum on the number of reviewers per topic area.
Reviewers are not required to attend AIHce EXP but must be current, active AIHA committee members. You can volunteer to review Professional Development Courses (PDCs), education sessions, or both (please specify at the time of volunteering).
If volunteer names are not supplied, we will automatically assign the committee leadership (Chair and Vice Chair) to take on review responsibility on behalf of each committee. This is your committee’s opportunity to help select the content that is offered at the 2022 conference.
AIHA will host a Town Hall on Tuesday, August 3 to discuss the upcoming technical review process.
