Help Select the AIHce EXP 2023 Education Program!
Help Shape the AIHce EXP 2023 Education Program - Volunteer to be a Technical Reviewer!
Contribute to building the educational content for AIHce EXP 2023 by serving as a technical reviewer! AIHA is seeking active committee member to serve as PDC and/or Education Program reviewers
A technical reviewer serves as the subject matter expert and reviews submissions to ensure that submittals are scientifically sound, innovative, and relevant to the profession. The technical review process occurs prior to the reviews of the Continuing Education Committee and Conference Program Committee and will assist the committees in selecting the final content that will comprise the 2023 education program. The review process is blind, and no submitter information will be shared.
The review will be completed entirely online and will be open September 19 to October 3, 2022. The time commitment, per proposal, is approximately 15-20 minutes, and will vary, depending on the number of submissions received in your topic area. Most topics will have a handful proposals (5-10), while more popular topics, such as Risk Assessment, could have as many as 50-100 reviews to complete. The exact number of proposals you will review is not known until the submission deadline has passed. As a volunteer, please plan your schedule accordingly, with time set aside for review during the entire review period of September 19 to October 3, 2022.
Each volunteer group is asked to email AIHA the names of four reviewers (two for PDCs and two for the education program) by Thursday, August 18, 2022. The same two volunteers may review both PDCs and education sessions. This is the minimum number needed, but more can volunteer to review, if desired.
Reviewers are not required to attend AIHce EXP but must be current, active AIHA committee members. They can volunteer to review Professional Development Courses (PDCs), education sessions, or both (please specify at the time of volunteering).
If volunteer names are not supplied, the committee leadership (Chair and Vice Chair) will be automatically assigned to take on review responsibility on behalf of their committee.
AIHA will host a Town Hall to discuss the upcoming technical review process on August 25, 2022 at 2 p.m. ET.. This can be accessed here.
