WATCH "Putting a Focus on Interactivity.” Presenter: Jonathan Klane, M.S.Ed., CIH, CSP, BioRAFT, Mesa, AZ.
The Art of Presenting Science
Presenter: Carl Sall, CIH, CSP, Louis Berger, Exton, PA.
Standing up in front of a room full of professionals and giving a presentation is stressful on its own. When you are presenting scientific data, the stress levels increase. How do you present the data in a way to keep it interesting? What do you do when you have detailed information to present? What if the data you need to present is in a table that has 50 lines of data in a font so small you need a microscope to read the information? These are common situations that presenters face. This session will help you develop scientific presentations that will keep your audience captivated and asking for more. Topics covered will include developing an opener that will hook your audience, effective presentation of scientific data, tricks to make your presentation better, and techniques to engage your audience.

Bringing Your A-Game – Stellar Sessions at AIHce EXP
Have you ever suffered through one of those awful sessions? You know, the one where you can’t read the tiny print, there are more bullets than in the “Rambo” movies, or you just nod off. No one wants to be “that speaker” – the one who reads their slides without a care for their audience or without engaging us. We all know several of the “don’ts” of speaking, but do you know the “dos” and especially how? This session focuses on what you can do to make your next session at AIHce EXP a really compelling one that leaves people talking about it (in a good way). Through demonstrations of various techniques, while covering the topics, you’ll learn how to tweak or revamp your staid session into a stellar one.
