You don’t want to miss these events
AIHce EXP is just a couple of months away and we are excited. Have you already signed up for it? If you’ve not registered yet, why not? Do you really want to miss out on the awesome education offerings, the exceptional Expo Hall, and the other cool things that Atlanta has to offer? Plus, you don’t want to miss the cool in-conference events we’re planning just for you.
Let’s take a quick look:
If you are a foodie, join us in the Expo Hall and around the convention center for some fun food-related events, from casual quick-session talks about healthy eating habits to "make your own trail mix." Different “snack-breaks” will be featured each day of the conference.
For the first timers, we recommend First Timer’s Orientation Meet and Greet and the pre-conference webinar, both sponsored by DuPont. It’s the perfect way to meet other attendees just like you and maybe get introduced to a mentor. At the end of the first conference day, start making new friends and form new connections at the annual networking reception at the Expo Hall. Mingle with IH/OH fellows over a drink and discover all the cutting-edge products and vendors of the conference. And if networking is your thing, there are lots of other smaller networking opportunities as well, like the International Reception. And let’s not forget our delicious Mark of Excellence breakfast, which celebrates some of industrial hygiene’s brightest.
Are you an up-and-coming IH professional looking to connect with more experienced colleagues? Or a senior professional who wants to give back to the next generation? Then the Personal AIHce Liaison (PAL) Program is right for you. Another way to support the future IH/OHs, is to show up and run for the American Industrial Hygiene Foundation Fun Run, which supports IH students with scholarships.
AIHce EXP has also something for those looking to give a boost to their career. At the Career Advantage Fair and the Building Careers for Life Development Fair they will help you with free resume consulting, mock interview practice, network and participate in other great sessions designed specifically to help professionals like you get ahead.
And since we are talking about careers, another reason why should stop by the AIHA booth at the Expo floor is the Headshot Café. Returning for the third year in a row, this popular event is a good way to freshen up your LinkedIn profile and to support the AIHF. For a $20 donation to the foundation, a team of professional make-up artists will glam you up, a professional will take your headshot and you get to help future IHs. A win-win for all.
Have you heard about our tech tours? You can get a behind-the-scenes look at some of the largest businesses and manufacturers in the world. It’s true, tech tours do have fees associated with them, but they cover your transportation and insurance, so they are definitely worth the additional time and money. Take a look at this year’s tours and sign up for one before all the slots fill up.
We know that meeting so many people and attending the education sessions can be a bit stressful, that’s why this year we are introducing Yappy Hour. For a donation to the AIHF, you can come and play with rescue dogs from an Atlanta-area shelter. They are just what the doctor recommends.
Plus there’s so much more going on, from a special interactive LEGO building event to Leadership Lessons for young professionals to our popular pop-up education sessions, and more! You’ll want to make sure you join us in Atlanta this year. It’s going to be spectacular.
So, ready to register?
P.S. If you register before March 29, 2020, you will secure the Advance Rate and your spot at our Sunday Funday celebrations.
