Dear AIHce EXP 2021 Attendees,
On behalf of the AIHA Board and staff, I would like to express our sincerest apologies for the many difficulties and challenges we have endured on the AIHce EXP 2021 virtual conference platform this week. I know the staff has been hard at work behind the scenes triaging one issue after another with our vendor, but despite our best efforts, we simply could not make things right. We deeply regret the inconvenience this has caused you.
Over the past five months, staff worked closely with the vendor to perform multiple quality control checks. Unfortunately, in the end, an unforeseen glitch severely compromised the integrity of their platform, and we were unable to provide the first-class delivery system we all expected.
We understand that taking time to clear your schedule for professional development is difficult, especially during these challenging times. In addition, we know conference fees are a significant investment. For those reasons, AIHA is offering full- and one-day paid conference attendees the option to receive either:
- A 33% refund on your AIHce EXP 2021 registration fee now, or
- A 33% credit applied towards AIHce EXP 2022.
We hope this will help compensate you for the inconvenience you have experienced this week. Staff will be in touch soon with details about how you may request the refund or credit option.
We also apologize to our many presenters who worked long and hard to prepare the outstanding technical content for our conference. We failed to provide an exceptional platform to showcase their fine work.
To assure that you have time to view this valuable education, staff has arranged extended open access to all sessions until July 9 so you may watch via the virtual conference platform when it is convenient for you. In mid-July, AIHce EXP OnDemand, which is included at no additional charge as part of your full conference registration, will launch. You will have access to OnDemand until December 31. Although the conference failed to provide the experience you have come to expect from AIHA, you will have ample opportunity to claim up to 22 contact hours until July 9, and then as soon as OnDemand is available, you may watch as many of the sessions you desire to earn even more contact hours.
We encourage you to fill out evaluations at http://bit.ly/AIHceDailyEval for those sessions you have attended this week. The presenters appreciate your feedback to improve their work in delivering quality education. Additionally, you will be emailed a full-conference survey later today. Although the virtual conference platform didn’t provide the positive user experience we had anticipated, we ask that you please provide feedback on the education, networking, exhibit hall, and everything else included in this year’s event.
Again, we are truly sorry that we did not meet your expectations for AIHce EXP 2021. Thank you for your patience and understanding. I hope you have a safe start to your summer, and I look forward to seeing you, in person, next year in Nashville!
